A Place To Call Home
What is Respite?
Respite is short-term, alternative care for children and adults placed in A Place to
Call Home foster homes or receiving services through the Division of Developmental
Disabilities.
Respite allows foster parents and biological families of children and adults with developmental disabilities a break in providing care to the child or adult. Individuals providing respite are independent contractors of A Place to Call Home.
What is the Respite need?
Independent contractors providing respite services are needed for a variety of circumstances. Independent contractors providing respite services can provide the respite care in their home, in the foster home, or in the community. Respite services may be needed for a few hours or a few weeks. Independent contractors providing respite services are able to make their own schedule.
